What is the After School Arts Program?
The After School Arts Program is a unique program for Grades 5 to 12 – free of charge – designed to provide opportunities for youth to participate in creative activities, meet other youth from around the region and enjoy a safe experience that inspires their creativity, provides mentorship opportunities with artists and instructors and encourages overall character enrichment and wellbeing.
If it’s free, why do I have to register for the class?
Due to limited supplies for instruments and studio space, we need to take into account the people who would like to participate in classes so that we can provide all the materials you need for a successful learning experience. Please sign up online prior to a class, and let us know whether you will be needing an instrument or if you are bringing your own.
Drop-ins and registrations are still welcome for ongoing classes with available slots. In some cases, we can add you to a full class if you have your own instrument. These are for classes like ASAP Guitar or Fiddle. Please call us at 204.346.1077 to check if we are able to do so. We provide all the materials for all other classes, and if those classes are full, you can get on the waitlist to join the next season by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Just a reminder that drop-in students should come by our office before class starts to sign themselves up.
