*PLEASE NOTE: If these items are brought to camp, your camper(s) will be asked to safely store them in the SAC office until they can be brought home.
Before camp, parents and caregivers should discuss behavioural expectations for camp. Camp offers an excellent venue for learning problem-solving skills, and subsequently, campers are involved in each step of the resolution process when problems occur.
If behavioural problems arise, we follow this procedure:
It is extremely important that you follow the guidelines listed below in order to ensure your campers’ health and safety:
If your child becomes ill or injured while at camp, immediate care will be provided. If further medical attention is required, we will contact the parent or transport to the Bethesda Hospital if necessary.
When will I receive the camp schedule for Spring Break Out Camp?
A welcome letter with a camp schedule and all the information you need for your week of camp will be emailed the week before your registered week of camp.
Is each week of camp the same?
Each day will be unique. Our campers will be able to try different activities, games, and art forms every day. Our camp will be filled with activities that will be sure to keep your child entertained such as; art, music, theatre, science, and so much more!
What happens in the case of inclement weather?
The majority of our Spring Break Out Camp will be indoor activities. Our studios will be used for our campers. If there is inclement weather when an outdoor activity is planned, it will be moved to inside our center.
What happens if day camps are not allowed to run?
If day camps are not permitted to run, you will be issued a full refund, or you may take a credit for future use at the Steinbach Arts Council. We do not plan to turn Spring Break Out Camp into a virtual program. We want our camps to get your kids active and creative while being safe and healthy!
What are the COVID10 Protocols you have in place for this event?
The Steinbach Arts Council always follows the latest Manitoban public health protocols. As of March 1st, vaccinations are not required to sign up for Spring Break Out Camps. Mask use is to be determined depending on the public health protocols at the time of the camp. As we take our current situation very seriously, we will be offering hand sanitizer and masks for those who wish to use them. We also ask that if your camper is feeling unwell, they stay home.
