This class is for those who want to build their creativity and artistic skills. Your children will learn about different materials and mediums used artistically, and to familiarize themselves with the great artists of our history. We will do drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage. Our goal is to give your child the tools to keep creating long after the class is over.
Did you know that Pottery is one of the oldest forms of art? Our classes build beginner skills to create functional everyday hand-built or hand-thrown pottery, with an emphasis on learning the “life of clay” and the endless possibilities inherent in pottery clay. Discover the joy of throwing clay, working with glazes and firing your own work in our pottery studio.
Get your footing with the tools and techniques of photography and create eye-catching photographs. Learn the essentials of photography during this beginner’s program taught by Collin Thiessen. Learn about exposure, equipment, composition, natural light, capturing emotion, and more to take your photography skills to the next level.
Acrylics is a popular and versatile medium that can be used in a variety of techniques. Participants will learn techniques from painting on canvas to adding texture to their work. The possibilities are endless after the class when participants can continue painting or exploring new ideas.
The focus will be to teach watercolor techniques using our high quality materials. Watercolor painting is a great way to express your creativity and imagination. The tools required are simple and inexpensive, and the medium allows you to be very expressive and spontaneous.
