Position: Summer Camp Director (1)/ASAP Coordinator

The Steinbach Arts Council seeks to hire a highly motivated individual to coordinate our Summer Arts Day Camp (SADC) for summer 2021, and assist with planning for the 2021-2022 After School Arts Program.  Camps run July through August.

Start Date: June 1, 2021

Duties:

  • Assist in planning the 2021-2022 ASAP Season (Number of weeks TBD)
  • Plan summer camp schedule during the month of June, and implement Summer Camp activities from July to August, including music, dance, drama, visual arts, and sports & recreation (approximately 10 weeks)
  • Lead a SADC team of 4 SADC Staff members, volunteers and clinicians, and campers

Successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A creative, innovative, and energetic attitude
  • A passion for working with children and youth
  • An interest in music, dance, drama, visual arts and sports
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
  • Computer and Social Media proficiency

Previous camp experience or event planning experience an asset.

Successful candidate will answer to Director of Programming.

Start Date: Mid-Late June, 2021

Duties:

  • Assist in planning summer camp schedule during the month of June, and implement Summer Camp activities from July to August, including music, dance, drama, visual arts, and sports & recreation (approximately 10 weeks)
  • Help oversee volunteers, clinicians and campers

Successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A creative, innovative, and energetic attitude
  • A passion for working with children and youth
  • An interest in music, dance, drama, visual arts and sports
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
  • Computer and Social Media proficiency

Previous camp experience or event planning experience an asset.

Successful candidate will answer to Director of Programming.
